About my Second Machinama - Dance

Hello Dear Reader, I spent most of today learning about how best to set up my viewer (Firestorm) for capturing a good smooth machinama. Made for 'busy' searching, and reading the how to's on which short cut keys to use for clearing the UI (Cmd+Opt+Cont+fn+1) this just didn't hide the mouse cursor. Spent some time searching for the answer, didn't find it, so I slide the mouse curser off to the and started recording. Learning more with each one. Thanks for reading. Oh and if you now how to hide the curser, Do share. I use screenflow for the Mac.

Air a Second Lifer - Follow Me

As asked by: Strawberry Singh March 16 for Monday's Meme

1. My perception of Second Life. I marvel at the creative talent in world.I don't hear much about Second Life in mainstream media, mostly from those involved in SL.
2. No one in my RL is aware or seems interested in SL, so they remain very separate. 
3. My RL career is also a high pressure job, and SL is my place to just relax and enjoy learning something completely creative. So much to be involved in, sometimes I wish I had more time, but its a good thing. Not sure, SL would provide me with a living. That is what I am most impressed with of other content creators making a living in RL. 
4. I enjoy taking photos for my flickr, and attempting to mangle prims and simply make mesh pre fabs pretty. I maintain my beautiful sim, hang with a few friends and love listening to music of all kinds. Favorite is dance music as it's upbeat.

                  

Special thanks to Strawberry for this challenge. I will to be making more videos because of it.

well this week Berry has a guess filling in, Edie Sedgwick.  Hi Edie!  Welcome, and good topic.  Took me all week to think on this one. 

Crispy Saturday Air

1-3. Saturday!   I met Saturday my first week I joined SL, it was a chance meeting. I love that Saturday lets me be creative and gives me the time I like to spend time with my friends sometimes listening to music other times exploring the art sims, mostly Saturday lets me twist a few prims around. Hugs  to Saturday!

4. The place I love to hang out is on my homestead, i've a new place i'm working on,  Love Cats, feels so big. Drop in for a visit! It's too quiet here.  let me know what you think, it's a place in the making.  Hoping for Love Cats to become a nice small hang out. It takes some time considering It's mostly a Saturday only sort of project, like Saturday, Fun!

20 personal SL Questions, my answers follow.    this was a long assignment.   Glad I had time with a holiday to participate. Good questions, can't wait to see others responses.   Thank you Berry!

1. When and how did you discover Second Life? 
•  Discovered SL in 2008
2. Did you know about virtual worlds before or was this your first experience with them? 
•   First virtual space was a text only 
3. Has Second Life met your expectations? SL has exceeded my expectations.
4. If you could teleport back to the first ten minutes of your avatar’s slife, what would you tell yourself? 
• Start to organize your inventory 
5. How long did it take you to master avatar flying and driving vehicles inworld? 
• I still bang into walls
6. Do you have a mystery alt?    main More fun
7. Is your SL avatar a reflection of you, or someone you wished you could be?  wish I could be
8. Is there an individual you met in SL that inspired you in your RL? How? 
• Oh so many i've met that have inspired me,
9. Do you feel it is easier to create stronger bonds/relationships with people you meet inworld as opposed to the real world? 
• The bonds I think are the same as inworld and real world but it's the expectations of those bonds that differ.  Most inworld never expect to meet in real world, so that seems to lead to more inconsiderate
  and bad behavior. 
10. Did you ever imagine or believe people could fall in love with someone they never met before Second Life? 
• yes, I do believe people can and do fall in love in SL.  
11. How has your perspective of dating changed (or not) since you started playing second life? 
• Yes.  On first date, never ask if someone participates in virtual worlds.  Get to know the person first world first.   
12. How has your perspective of employment changed (or not) since you started playing second life? 
• YES!  The possibilities of earning a livelihood from the virtual world is very much a reality, and I think it's here to stay.
13. Name three things in both your lives that overlap each other significantly. 
• Taking courses,  I enjoy learning in Second life courses and attending local classroom training. 
14. If you could live your life more immersively in a virtual world, would you? (Kind of like the Matrix) 
• Most definitely.
15. How do you think behavior changes for people if they’re inworld vs in real world? Why do you think that is? 
• You can say things easier to someone you never expect to meet.
16. How has second life consumerism changed your perception of spending habits, the value of money, the need to be “bleeding edge” with fashion?  Not sure my Jeans fall into category of bleeding edge of fashion.
17. Do you think virtual worlds like SL drive and redefine human interaction or do they narrow and limit it? 
• Virtual worlds are another outlet for collaboration and artistic creations, limited only by our imaginations. 
18. If technology progressed tomorrow to allow you to send emotions to people the way you’d send text or voice messages, would it enrich your SL experience or infringe on it?  
    Infringe on it. I think that would be too much information.
19. Name three skills you attribute to having learned or honed in second life alone. Scripting, my life leaves little opportunity to script and it's a skill i've always wanted to improve.   l the menu's of Photoshop, Blogging, i have failed miserably at blogging daily, even weekly.  
20. If your grand kids googled your Second Life Avatar’s name, would they be intrigued, disgusted, proud or something else? No kids.      -  Air -      photos

Strawberry's Ebbe Linden and Me Me, Air !

                                                                                                                                                                   

This is my first Berry's meme post so let me give this a go.  I have a second home that I took Ebbe Linden to and showed him all around at  Love Cats. Think he likes it, as he is still there.

Three things I would tell Ebbe is:

Promote premium sales of the mainland, by making it a better value for everyone. Sad to see so much empty space. Increase the number of people not the cost.

Create a Official SL Mentoring group, maybe create something special for 'teaching' institutions around SL, both kinds ones that are real life campuses with a SL presence and ones of SL with a virtual presence only.

Offer a potential for real world businesses to conduct business within SL. Lets Go!
